He also gave Deadline his take on weather he would return toGreys Anatomy.
You canread it here.
So what can you tease about what happens in that nursery?
Virgin River.Martin Hendersonas Jack Sheridan
It was written that Jack, oh, wheres Charmaine?
She wasnt at the wedding.
Oh no, she left the message, okay, Ill go and check on her.
He enters the house.
Jack then hears something, and he opens the door, and we end on Jacks face.
I dont remember what the actual adjective was, maybe it was shocked.
But it was never stated what he was looking at.
And she said, I dont know.
They havent written that part yet.
Which was terrifying as an actor.
What if I give the wrong reaction?
And then in Season 7, we find out its something different.
So we opted to go for something that was a blend of shock and concern.
It feels like he finally reconciled with it by putting on that uniform at the wedding.
What is your take?
He had so many struggles that came out of that, and his inability to deal with it.
But hes still not sure at the beginning of the season what does XXX mean to him.
Hes definitely trying to move forward with his life.
So hes in this introspective process throughout the season, and its fun to witness him struggle with that.
I want to focus on you.
And Mels like, but it was also awesome what you did.
And thats probably a healthier, more realistic view on life itself.
Sometimes were like, oh, man, my parents screwed me up.
Yeah, okay, everyones parents screwed them up.
But what about all the good things?
Its okay, because I have that too, and Im trying to accept that myself.
So of course I dont need you to be anything other than who you are.
Theres something unconditional and mature about that.
HENDERSON: I enjoyed the significance of that.
I felt that that somehow eclipsed the personal aspect of what they were doing.
That actually felt really romantic and meaningful.
And so he takes her there again, its that lovely thing that this couple has.
Like he says and I worked on that speech a bit.
I understand you, and Ive got you.
From the beginning, Ive always gotten who you are.
I felt you needed something, so I wanted to give it to you.
I actually thought it was really beautiful, and Im really glad.
HENDERSON: There was a version of them in the script.
DEADLINE:You mentioned the horse in that a runaway bride and groom scene of romcom proportions.
How was it working with a horse, Is it something you had done before?
HENDERSON: I love riding.
I did a little bit of riding just for fun as a kid.
And then I did a pilot for a supernatural Western show.
I was really grateful to have that be introduced for the character of Jack.
DEADLINE:Jack doesnt know yet but lets talk about the prospect of him becoming a father.
What do you think about Mel and Jack becoming newlyweds and new parents at the same time?
But the global audience ofVirgin Riverhas been sitting around for years for this happy ending.
Metaphorically, Im pregnant with your dream.
Come on, lets do it.
I think thats quite nice, given how dragged-out this happy ending has been.
Season 5 particularly got quite dark with the miscarriage and the fire.
HENDERSON:I dont know the answer to that question today.
I think thats the kind of thing you’re able to only know when you know it.
I love that we make so many people happy, and I wouldnt want to stop that anytime soon.
So maybe the answer to that question is actually up to the audience.
