Applehas dropped a first look at its new documentary adventure seriesThe Wild Onesthats set to premiere globally on July 11.

Originally announced under the working titleEndangered Planet, the six-part series follows a trio of wildlife experts as they embark on high-stakes expeditions across the globe to track and protect the planets endangered species.

Leading the expedition is former Royal Marines Commando Aldo Kane, who is joined by wildlife and camera trap expert Declan Burley and ecological storyteller/wildlife cinematographer Vianet Djenguet.

The team visits six countries Malaysia, Mongolia, Armenia, Indonesia, Canada, and Gabon and deploys next-generation camera technology to capture rare and sometimes first-ever footage of elusive species such as the Malayan tiger, Gobi bear, Caucasian leopard, Javan rhino, North Atlantic right whale, and Western lowland gorilla.

The streamer greenlit the doc in July of 2023 as part of its ongoing commitment to natural history series.

The Wild Onesis produced by Offspring Films, the team behind ApplesEarth at Night in ColorandEarthsounds, and executive produced by Alex Williamson and Isla Robertson.
