I will leave that to others.

He was, in every way, a remarkable human being.

He acknowledged his own failings.

Faithful go on a pilgrimage for the death of Pope Francis in the Church of Santa Maria Addolorata, which occurs in Vatican City, on April 21, 2025. The Vatican announces that Pope Francis, 88, dies ‘‘this morning at 07:35 local time (05:35 GMT) the Bishop of Rome, Francis, returns to the house of the Father’’.

He had an ironclad commitment to the good.

He knew in his soul that ignorance was a terrible plague on humanity.

So he never stopped learning.

Pope Francis

And he never stopped enlightening.

And, he embraced, preached and practiced forgiveness.

Universal and constant forgiveness.

The loss for the world is immense.

But he left a light behind, and it can never be extinguished.

He felt more like Pope John the 23rd who made belief real.

I saw it this morning and was moved.

Farewell dear Pope Francis.

Nature and poetry and the suffering shall miss their champion.

May God Bless him and all who loved him!

May it unite people with each other and with nature.

May this hope continually revive beyond him.

My wife and I send our thoughts to all Catholics and to the grieving world.)

Deadline will update this post with new tributes, as necessary… May we heed his wish.

Very sad to wake up to the news of the passing of Pope Francis at the age of 88.

Let us all say: Enough, c’mon!

He prayed for peace in Ukraine and for Ukrainians.

Pope Francis lifted the world as he led the Church with his profound moral voice.

Pope Francis was the rare leader who made us want to be better people.

He was unlike any who came before him.

His principles of empathetic listening, inclusion, and compassion are exactly what this divided world needs right now.

To unite people with one another and with nature.
