However, she denied being the culprit of the murder and was visibly devastated over her husbands death.
Sofia is alone after she rejects her adoptive parents in favor of her revenge.
Gabriel (Enzo Romani) also rejects Sofia as he feels used and doesnt feel she is authentic.
Although the Paixao family misses Sofia, they move on.
The couple names their future daughter Rebecca after Elvirinha and Linos daughter.
Lola makes a run after finding out police are about to apprehend her.
Later that night, Lola visits LolaLand, where Sofia is, and tries to kill her.
Lola locks Sofia in her office and lights the building on fire.
Sofia calls Gabriel, telling her Lola was trying to kill her.
Gabriel arrives at LolaLand and saves Sofia from the burning building.
Lola is arrested and taken to jail.
Lola goes on trial and is sentenced to over 30 years in jail.
