The blaze spread to 20 acres and prompted an evacuation warning before firefighters got the upper hand on it.
All forward progress was stopped and the Evacuation Warning lifted by 2 a.m. Thursday.

It was later reopened.
Firefighting aircraft were drawing water from the nearby Stone Canyon Reservoir.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area or seek alternate routes.
According to the National Weather Service, winds were expected to turn more northeasterly overnight and increase toward daybreak.
Relative humidity was very low, between 3-8%.
