Carter, the 39th president of the United States, died on Sunday at age 100.

The funeral will begin on Saturday at 10:15 a.m.
ET with the arrival of the Carter family at the Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia.

His remains then will be taken to Carter Presidential Center for a service at 4 p.m.
He will then lie in repose for a public viewing from 7 p.m.
ET through 6 a.m.
ET on Tuesday, Jan. 7.
There, members of Congress will pay their respects for a service starting at 3 p.m. Carter then will lie in state at the Capitol Rotunda from 7 p.m.
ET to midnight, and then from 7 a.m.
ET on Jan. 8 to 7 a.m. on Jan. 9.
The public will be invited to pay their respects as he lies in state.
