Thurber is directing the film from a script he wrote with Ellen Shanman.

The series was produced by Peter Keefe and Ted Koplar through their production company World Events Productions.
The original television series aired in syndication from Sept. 10, 1984, to Nov. 18, 1985.
The first season ofVoltron, featured the Lion Force Voltron and was adapted from the seriesBeast King GoLion.
