France-based video game publisherUbisoftacknowledged recent press speculation that its founders were in talks to sell the company.
Ubisoft has noted recent press speculation regarding potential interests around the Company, Ubisoft said in a statement.

Shares in Ubisoft, which trade in Paris, jumped last Friday after the report of deal talks.
They have settled back since then and have slumped nearly 40% this year to date.
In addition to the setback withAssassins Creed, the company reported disappointing financial results in the most recent quarter.
